Plans are underway to re-visit a remote mountainous area where we took our campaign in 2014.
We had been invited by the community to create community engagement and dialogue since a young woman had recently died in childbirth following FGM.
Covid has had an impact on increasing numbers of girls being cut around the world. Schools were closed so that girls were at risk. Increased poverty also had an impact.
However we shall do our utmost to reinforce previous messages and hopefully hold a Community Abandonment Ceremony.
We are also planning further outreach work to conduct follow up in the villages where we have campaigned over last few years, especially since covid.
